Hive5 is an investment marketplace within Hive Finance Group, offering access to investments linked to financing across the Group’s European lending businesses. When you invest, you don’t lend money directly to the end borrower. Instead, you purchase claim rights linked to an existing loan or financing agreement. These claim rights give you the contractual right to receive principal and interest payments according to the terms of your investment. You can choose investments manually or use Auto Invest to automate your strategy.
Every Hive5 investment includes a buyback obligation from the relevant lender. Under the current terms, if a payment is more than 60 days overdue, the lender is required to repurchase the claim rights together with accrued interest. The buyback obligation is not a guarantee and depends on the lender’s ability to fulfil it.
Interest rates vary by investment, lender and term. The current average nominal interest rate on Hive5 is 14.4%. Your actual return may vary depending on the investments you choose and their terms.
Uninvested funds can be withdrawn from your Hive5 account. Once funds are invested, they are normally returned according to the investment terms and repayment schedule. The Hive5 Secondary Market gives you more flexibility by allowing eligible investments to be listed for sale before maturity. Sale timing depends on investor demand.
